Teresa grew up in Southern Germany and when she arrived in France for an internship years ago, she realised that despite having had years of traditional French lessons at school and university, she was still unable to speak it properly. Once she started practising on a regular one-on-one basis and immersed herself in French culture, she magically started to get in the flow with the language. Her life became so much easier and richer once she overcame these barriers and started communicating confidently in France.

Through Joylingua, Teresa wants to pass on her knowledge and help international learners transform their language-learning mindset and become more confident, fulfilled, and joyful in Switzerland.

Teresa approached me for a rebranding as she was feeling stuck and not sure about her website, aesthetic, and overall brand purpose. We set out to bring clarity to her brand and, through an insightful brand clarity session, decided she should focus on a specific audience: international learners.

The name chosen is meant to positively motivate people looking for German language classes and to infuse joy and happiness into the learning process. The logo and colour palette are also inspired by round shapes, pastel shades and beach vibes to make students feel relaxed and at ease.

The overall vibe of the brand is lively but not overdone. Pastel colours harmonize with a minimalist pattern that adds class to the whole.
